About the Author
Lutanga Shaba is a Harare based Zimbabwean born of Malawian
immigrants.
A lawyer by profession, Lutanga is a post- graduate in policy
studies. She founded and is currently the Executive Director
of the The Women's Trust, a Harare
based non- governmental- organisation that provides personal
empowerment and leadership development training for women.
Lutanga Shaba is a single mother of a daughter called Tawonga.
This is Lutanga’s first novel.
Having personally experienced the false choices that poverty
brings, Lutanga has dedicated the proceeds from the sales
of this book to the establishment of the Mama Milazi Scholarship
Fund, a revolving fund for academically gifted and ambitious
young women who are unable to pay for higher education.
